Ward Lake Hike

On one of Eric's days off, we took a hike around Ward Lake with the kids. The weather was threatening rain, but it turned out to be nice and we had such a great time!

The water pump was very exciting, as well as the squirrels who were looking for peanuts.

These last two photos are actually from another day we stopped at the lake. We didn't hike around this day, but roasted some sausage dogs, did a little wading and took a short walk. The wading came to an abrupt end when Benaiah picked up a rock with a leach on it. I tried to stay calm so I wouldn't frighten him, but it's hard to when it's something that disgusting!
