Coast Trip

This is the sea otter bench at the aquarium. (I don't know what we were all looking at!) Eric and I had been to the aquarium BC., but it was so fun seeing the kids enjoy it all. Noelle even had one of the divers blow her a kiss in the underwater dome!

This is a giant clam at the aquarium in Seattle. Benaiah actually took this photo. He loves to take pictures now

Benaiah loved the ocean as much as me. Noelle didn't like the strong winds or big waves. Pretty scary when it's all bigger and stronger than you. It makes me a little sad that they won't grow up with some of the things I did, but there are a lot of great things here (like 27 chickens) that they get to enjoy!

We took a trip to Ocean Shores; one of my favorite places we visited as a child. The first day was so windy and rainy we could hardly stand against the wind. So much for flying kites!

Anybody seen any of these before?

We also visited the nuclear sub museum.
Aye, aye, captain!

Seeing my grandma and some of our other family on the coast was great too.

The kids were so excited to ride on the Seattle ferry

We took a vacation to the coast around the end of April. We were able to see alot of neat things. One of the highlights was meeting up with some of our friends, Trish and Jason, from Alaska.

Wood

My dad and Eric with their super haul. The best wood for burning here is tamarack.

Benaiah and Noelle were supervising our wood splitting in our driveway. Tough job!
We have a wood burning furnace, which heats the in-floor heating in our house. This monster gobbles up 12 cords of wood each year! Eric is looking for a more efficient system to heat with.

Our summer is full of MUCH wood cutting. We do enjoy getting out in the woods though. The kids catch wood frogs, look for mushrooms and enjoy the wild ride in the truck when we're yanking the logs onto the road.

Tutu T-shirt

Noelle has really grown since we've moved here. The boots don't quite fit yet though!

The T-shirt she's wearing is one I added two colors of tulle to to make a tutu t-shirt. What a fun project!

Tenth Anniversary

Last Thursday was our tenth anniversary. It's hard to believe it has been that many years!

The kids had a sleepover with our friends, Pete and JoAn, and we had a special evening at our own home.

I asked a friend of ours to make a cake that resembled the top of our wedding cake. Then I made cioppini and pita chips with bean dip. It all turned out very yummy and it was marvelous to have an evening to ourselves!

I'm so thankful for this special guy who married me. Eric is a great husband, friend and father to our children. God is so good!

We're Still Here

Wow, it has been a long time! Now that we finally have high speed internet again, Eric has encouraged me to at least post a picture. Hopefully there will be more to come!

This picture was taken by a friend on Resurrection Day across the lake from our home.

Benaiah is now five and Noelle is three. I can't believe we have lived in WA for almost two years now!

Moving Day

Moving day happened to fall on my 30th birthday. We packed up our things and stayed our last night at the John's house. We were so blessed to be able to hire movers to load up and transport all of our stuff.

It was a double blessing to have Eric's parents come help us move. They even drove through Canada with us.

Now we are finished to the point of all of our stuff is in storage until our house sells and we buy a new one here. We are loving staying with my parents until that time or we find a place closer to Eric's job where we can rent.
I'll post more pictures later.

The Fourth of July

We started out our Fourth with the old car show. We took this one for my dad.

Benaiah and Noelle got to be in the kid's parade with their friend Gavin.

The princess reigns

This is the first year Eric has been off for the fourth. It was great!

The start of the parade

Waiting to grab candy at the parade.

Our friends, the Baileys, came over for our celebration dinner. See our berry flag cake? Yum!

Smile!

Our Musicians

The kids love to play the piano and sing. I'm so glad they love music.
