We're Moving

It is now official! Our house is up for sale and we will be moving the first part of September. If you want to see more pictures and information on our house visit www.northpointhigginshouse.blogspot.com.

We are excited for the move, but are sad to leave all of our friends here. God has taken care of us every step so far and confirmed that this move is His will, so we will continue to trust Him to take care of all of the details ahead. (Like selling our house!)

The Way Home

Here are a few pictures from our ferry ride back to Ketchikan. The kids were very excited to eat breakfast on the boat.

What a magnificent place we live in!

Beach shots

Here are a few more photos from Sandy Beach. It was so nice to have warm weather while we were there!

Mary let the kids bury her. The only rule was, "No shovels!"

Sandy Beach

Last week we took off for five days to visit Jory, Mary and their family in Thorne Bay. Eric had to work, so the kids and I got on the ferry and had a great trip. Every day out there was sunny and beautiful and made me miss my hometown. I'll post more photos and write more about our trip later. This was our first day there and it was great low tide. Sandy beach is the best beach I know of on POW and anywhere nearby. Ketchikan certainly doesn't have anything like this!

Sandy Beach - What more can you say?

Settler's Cove

We've been going to the beach more now that the weather is warming up. The kids love the sand and shells and I love the peace of the ocean.

Spring Days

Benaiah and Noelle eating popsicles. So nice to be able to sit outside!

Benaiah likes to pack a box and pretend he and Noelle are going to space camp (off of "3-2-1 Penguins.) Here they are camping in the kitchen (AKA "space camp")

I really can fill my Daddy's shoes!

Mr. Linder

We had the Linders over for Easter dinner. We always love when we can get together with them, but especially the kids do!
Benaiah had told me at nap time (as my mom calls it, "yippee-skippy time") that he wanted to take a nap with Mr. Linder. So after dinner, they pretended to take a snooze. As you can see, Noelle had to get in on the action too.

Hats

Benaiah and Noelle got into our hat box and were enjoying trying on the different ones in there. The one Benaiah is wearing is his new favorite.

Clean Kids

I don't know why the shower is an interesting place to play, but it is one of Noelle's favorites.
Here, Noelle plopped herself down in Benaiah's lap. He loves when she sits in his lap.
It's nice that they're getting old enough now that they are enjoying playing with each other.

Play Days

Jory, Mary and the kids stayed overnight with us on their way home from "Down South." Josiah got to spend the morning with us while the others ran errands. We walked up to the park (thinking this would burn lots of energy.) Josiah and Benaiah are as close as friends as they their names do rhyme. Benaiah says they're "Siah-Miah."

Taste Tester

Benaiah loves to help me cook and bake. His favorite part is the tasting!

Fish lips

My mom taught the kids how to do "fish lips." Noelle likes to give fish lips kisses.

My Amaryllis

I finally got an amaryllis to bloom. I have had several over the years and haven't gotten a single one to bloom, until now. I looked up the cycle of amaryllis growth online and found a site that was very helpful. You can look up the information at www.rochestergardening.com/bulbs/amrylcar.html
