Bye-bye Binky

Boys tired out after the excitement

Lots of help blowing out candles

Binky in a tree

The big boy ready to release his pal

Benaiah had a "Bye-bye binky" party this last Thursday. Mary, Josiah, Anna and Esther joined us to bid farewell to a fond friend. Kristina had given me the idea, and Benaiah's binky was starting to look like it needed to join the other binkies in the sky. So, that's just what we did.

We tied his binky to several helium balloons and watched it float away. Unfortunately, the wind caught the balloons and the binky now resides in a nearby tree, instead of a home in the sky! But he thinks it is gone now. If you see a crow flying around with something in his beak that looks like a yellow binky, wonder no more!

After bidding farewell, we came inside for the only reason he would let go of his bink, a "Cars" cake. Mary gave me some good ideas and it was really fun to make.

Benaiah is now, officially a big boy!

I'm glad this worked out for you all. It looks like it was a great party, I kind of wish Rachael had a binky we could throw a party for.
